The IMA Martial Arts Dojo is located in Arnold however we also teach at well established satellite schools in Bingham, Bramcote, Heanor, Ilkeston and Kimberley.
The IMA Curriculum is based on Wado-Ryu Karate, one of the four leading Karate disciplines, and Kickboxing. Elements of other Martial Arts such as Muay Thai & Brazilian Ji-Jitsu are also incorporated to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of different styles of Martial Arts. We teach from ages 3+ and have classes for children, adults and families.
Self-defence plays an important part in staying safe and being a more confident person. It can help you to defuse and de-escalate situations or to defend yourself and those around you in the safest way possible. Self-defence is important for all age groups and one of the core focus areas of training at IMA.
Optional seminars are delivered over the course of the year giving students an opportunity to try specialised topics like Bo Staff, Escrima, Nunchaku and First Aid.
